Inert gas

Inert gas

Inert gas is used in the operations of “blanketing” of the storage tanks. The exhaust gas of the diesel engine installed on the unit is washed and cooled within a “Venturi scrubber” and conveyed in the storage tanks.

This will make the storage tanks and the surrounding area safe because it averts the formation of explosive mixtures inside the tanks and the possibility that they can go into depression.

The production of inert gas depends on the displacement of the diesel engine used.

The residual inert gas, coming from the storage tanks is routed on the direct line to the torch where they are arranged in a Konch out drum sequence, a hydraulic guard blower and a hider.
